Meadows Community Services

Effective October 1, 2008, Meadows Community Services will regretfully discontinue our services to the community.

Since 1986, Meadows Community Services has faithfully served under-resourced individuals and families in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, providing emergency financial assistance, distributing food and clothing, delivering empowerment programs and transforming countless lives in the process.  We have provided access to healthcare, reading programs, and vacation Bible school for children as well as counseling, immigration and translation services and general advocacy for our adult clients.

When we began this ministry more than twenty years ago, Meadows Community Services was one of the first Christian social service agencies in the area to provide these services. Our role was to promote awareness of the need for services for the growing number of clients in our area and to begin to provide those services. A number of these services have now become mainstreamed in organizations such as local townships, hospitals, and public schools.  Meadows Community Services is finding it difficult to differentiate ourselves in order toidentify and provide the services that would draw sufficient support from our donors and friends.

We are making every effort to insure that our clients will be connected to other agencies in the area who can continue to meet their needs.

We would like to thank all of you who have supported Meadows Community Services in the past and for the opportunity that we have had to minister to our wonderful clients on your behalf.

I John 3:17 -18   If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother  in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?  Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue, but with action and in truth.
